As the article says, USM pay royalties to Buda, but I don’t know if any scheme is set up by Buda to pay anything to the artists.

There are many arguments here including that copyrights should be allowed to expire so to return freedom of use to the artist on their own work (check out Mouse Liberation front).

We are living in complicated times.
